DIY Melao Tattoo Balm Recipe – Make It at Home!

If you love natural skincare and want to create your own tattoo balm, here’s a simple homemade recipe to keep your tattoos looking fresh and hydrated.

Ingredients:

• 2 tbsp Shea Butter – Deeply moisturizes and soothes skin

• 1 tbsp Carnauba Wax (or Beeswax) – Provides a protective layer to seal in moisture

• 1 tbsp Cocoa Butter – Softens skin and enhances tattoo vibrancy

• 1 tbsp Sweet Almond Oil – Helps nourish and prevent dryness

• 1 tbsp Coconut Oil – Anti-inflammatory and deeply hydrating

• ½ tbsp Sunflower Seed Oil – Rich in Vitamin E to promote healing

• 5 drops Lavender Essential Oil – Soothes irritation and promotes relaxation

• 5 drops Frankincense Essential Oil – Aids in skin repair and healing

• (Optional) 3-5 drops Vanilla Extract – For a naturally sweet scent

Instructions:

1. Melt the Oils & Butters

   • In a double boiler or a heat-safe bowl over simmering water, melt Shea Butter, Carnauba Wax, Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil, and Coconut Oil together. Stir occasionally.

2. Remove from Heat & Add Essential Oils

   • Once fully melted, remove from heat and let cool slightly.

   • Add Lavender, Frankincense, and Vanilla Extract (if using). Stir well.

3. Pour into a Container

   • Pour the mixture into a small glass jar or tin and let it cool at room temperature until solidified.

4. Use & Store
